Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) is a scheme commenced by Government of India specifically for Tribal Children across India. It is one of the flagship interventions of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India and was introduced in the year 1997-98 to ensure tribal students get access to quality education in the remote tribal areas. EMRSs are set up in States/UTs with grants under Article 275(1) of the Constitution of India. As per the budget 2018-19, every block with more than 50% ST population and at least 20,000 tribal persons, will have an Eklavya Model Residential School by the year 2022 and affiliated with CBSE Board, New Delhi.

National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS) as an autonomous organization has been set up under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs to establish, endow, maintain, control and manage the schools.

Eklavya Model Residential School, Devgaon, Tal. Peth, Dist. Nashik started since 08th June 2022 from the academic year 2022-23 under the Maharashtra Tribal Public School Society Nashik run by Tribal Development Department, Maharashtra State.

This school started from 6th class in this academic year. From the current academic year 2023-24 classes 6th and 7th classes have started in our school. Presently 45 boys and 49 girls, total 94 students are studying in Eklavya Model Residential School, Devgaon.

We have always been committed to create an environment in the school which helps the young minds to blossom and provide a platform for individuals thinking and holistic development of the tribal children.
